No, Chick-Fil-A Will Not Start Opening on Sundays

If you’re reading this article, you’ve clearly just searched the internet to confirm what you’ve seen on a number of items making the rounds on Facebook. These obviously legitimate articles (such as this one, this one, or this one) claim that after years of an unwavering resolve to ruin people’s after-church plans, Chick-Fil-A will finally make the leap to Sunday business.

Well, I hate to break it to you, but Chick-Fil-A will not start opening on Sunday. I know this comes to the dismay of many chicken-sandwich addicted fans (myself included) who’ve dreamed of a spicy chicken sandwich with extra pickles and a sweet tea on a Sunday. If and when they ever do open on the Sabbath, I promise it will be far far more publicity than a few pieces of click bait on social media. I can assure you Fox News will throw a hissy fit, and it will be the subject of many sermons about the end times.

The writers of the articles just did it for views to their website. Actually, I just wrote this article for views to my website, but instead of lying I’m actually being honest about my intentions. But while you’re here, welcome to Mars Gone Mad. Like me on Facebook to keep up with my many, typically much deeper, blog posts.

Matthew Estes

Matthew Estes currently exists in the ether between graudate student and full-time worker. One day he hopes to be a full-time novelist and blogger, but until that day comes he spends his time playing video games, eating pizza, and being with his soon-to-be wife. However, he has yet to do all three at the same time. Bucket list stuff, you know.
