A Couple of Creative Updates

When it comes to this blog, I’ve got two things I’m super excited to be working on.

First, I’d like to take about BONEs. Or, more accurately, Blogs Online Now Everyone.

Using Adobe Premier Pro, I’m making a series of 6-8 minute videos that feature all kinds of interesting blogs. After discovering DailyPost, I’ve uncovered a great many new and interesting blogs. That, paired with all of the blogs I loved before, means I have ample material each month to create a video.

And yes, I am totally ripping off Vsauce3 and their stuff you can Do Online Now Guys. But hey, my title has a gender-inclusive collective noun. Their’s doesn’t. Ha. Still, my segments will be different enough to where it’s just an “homage.” I’m also aware of the possible double entendre in my title. That was unintentional.

This is the form that the first BONE still exists in right now. I’ve still got to add the rest of the blogs. And the voiceover. And the music. And the text overlay. And the special effects. Basically, I’ve still got a lot to, but I hope to have it completed by next week.

I plan to eventually get to featuring every blog I know, but if you want to be featured quicker, you can submit your blog to my Great Blog Directory! I hope one day that turns into a large repository of featured blogs.

Second, I want to start taking my own pictures for this blog. So far I’ve been using pictures from an awesome website called Unsplash, but wouldn’t it great to say I take my own pictures for my blog? I have access to a nice camera, and even have a volunteer to model for some of those “brooding” photos I love so much. I’ll let you all know when I start implementing my own photos.

If you like photography, please give me some tips in the comments. Anything and everything will be considered! Exciting times are ahead, so let’s see where things go from here!

Matthew Estes

Matthew Estes currently exists in the ether between graudate student and full-time worker. One day he hopes to be a full-time novelist and blogger, but until that day comes he spends his time playing video games, eating pizza, and being with his soon-to-be wife. However, he has yet to do all three at the same time. Bucket list stuff, you know.
