Photography Roundup – Week One

And so my first week of using my own photography comes to an end. You’ll notice that the theme of this week seems to be “trees,” as there is at least one in every picture.

Since I’m relatively new to this photography thing, I’ve asked for feedback from some of my more seasoned photo fans. I’ve gotten none. But, never to be discouraged, I’ve come up with a new way to improve my skills. Polls. Basically, you, the audience, will decide which photo you like the best. Then, I’ll know I’m on the right track and can use that preference for future pictures.

One other thing, I promised people in the photographs. Specifically, I promised people brooding. Well, never fear, I’m actually doing a photoshoot today with an expert-level brooder. I fully expect to have a human subject in next week’s posts.

Very simple. Which one of these is your favorite? Which of these do you like the most?

Truth is, if you can’t pick a favorite, you can actually vote as many times as you want. And if you think all of them suck, please feel free to lecture me in the comments. I need the constructive criticism.

I will see you all on Monday!

I caught Auburn on a particularly gorgeous day. Warning, objects in picture are much closer than they appear.

The only thing that applies to today’s Daily Post prompt is that it is, in fact, a post. 1/4 yay!

Matthew Estes

Matthew Estes currently exists in the ether between graudate student and full-time worker. One day he hopes to be a full-time novelist and blogger, but until that day comes he spends his time playing video games, eating pizza, and being with his soon-to-be wife. However, he has yet to do all three at the same time. Bucket list stuff, you know.
