QOTD #7: Grandmothers are Special

Question of the Day: Can you describe your favorite moment with your grandmother?

My answer: This is a difficult one, mainly because I have so many fond memories with my grandmother on my dad’s side of the family. She used to pick me up from school everyday, and I must admit to having many memorable experiences as I stayed there until my parents got off work. I used to play Sonic the Hedgehog on the Sega Genesis while she took a nap to the music. She taught me how to play Scrabble and Uno. But probably the most fond memory was putting up the Christmas tree with her every year, and watching as gifts and cards slowly accumulated under it.

What is the QOTD? Each morning, I post a brand new question for you all to consider.

Blogs need to be more than just a place for one person to write a bunch of random stuff. They need to be a community, where the audience is free to discuss an array of different topics. You can only do so much in the comment section of even the most well-constructed blog post.

So, you’ve got options! You can simply respond to this topic in the comments.
You can write your own blog post using this topic! If you include the URL to this post in the article, it will magically appear in this post’s comment section as a pingback.

Matthew Estes

Matthew Estes currently exists in the ether between graudate student and full-time worker. One day he hopes to be a full-time novelist and blogger, but until that day comes he spends his time playing video games, eating pizza, and being with his soon-to-be wife. However, he has yet to do all three at the same time. Bucket list stuff, you know.

  1. Used to finish my grandmother’s puzzles with her. Other than that, we didn’t get along. She was too into making me dress like a lady (I hate dresses!) and she thought my dream of becoming an astronaut was stupid. My other grandmother incorrectly thought I was a lesbian because I preferred to wear pants. So I didn’t get along with either grandma.
